Strained yogurt is the name of a dairy product with a characteristic and rich taste. It is thicker and has a higher nutritional value than ordinary yogurt, while having a lower carbohydrate content. Strained yogurt is made from cow’s milk with the addition of milk protein to achieve the required density and milk cream to achieve the required fat content. In Bulgarian traditions and culture, the product “strained yogurt” is especially revered. It is used both for the preparation of the Snezhanka salad, popular in our country, and for various desserts by mixing it with other products.
